GIS Users Group

The City of Salisbury GIS Users Group is comprised of members from various and assorted departments throughout the City. The goal of the Users Group is to foster a collaborative effort toward the implementation of GIS at the City of Salisbury. Through the bi-monthly meetings, GIS Users are kept abreast of ongoing projects, software changes, and training opportunities, among other things.

Since the Strategic Plan process, a major effort has been underway to create documentation for each new data acquisition project. As they are created, these will be posted as Information Product Descriptions (IPDs). By going through this process, individuals from multiple departments can realize the benefits of each data acquisition project.
